Trip to Leek on Monday 7 May: details finalised

With apologies for the short notice we have arranged a visit to Leek on Monday 7 May to visit 3 churches with Dr Brenda King, Chair of the Textile Society, to view some of The Leek School Ecclesiastical tapestries which were the subject of her talk to the Friends group in October last year.

We are going by minibus on Monday 7th May, meeting at St. Martin's at 9.00 a.m. Brenda will be our Guide at St. Luke's and St. Edward's Churches. St. Luke's has strong connections with John Sedding, our architect.

We can have a snack, or more substantial lunch, at the Cottage Kitchen, Winkhill, followed by a tour of All Saints Church where Anthony Burton will be our Guide. We will leave there at 3.30 arriving back at St. Martin's at approximately 4.30 p.m.

The cost of the outing is £21 which includes transport and gratuities, but not lunch. Coffee/tea will be available at all the churches.

If you require more information please contact Ann Sayer on 0161 427 2542.
