In 2016 we completed the restoration of the Christopher Whall painting in the Lady Chapel ("Our lady of the Goyt") thanks to a very generous donation from one of our Friends. We held a viewing of the painting in Church on Saturday 26th November when coffee and biscuits were served while people came to see the result of the first restoration and conservation project undertaken by the Heritage Trust.

There was a brief speech about the restoration and the opportunity to meet Mrs. Cuff, the benefactor. 

Displays about Christopher Whall and his work were on show, and there was an opportunity to see the Restorer, David Everingham's photos of the process of restoration.  A film on Arts and Crafts stained glass that included much of Christopher Whall's work was also shown.
