Over 80 people attended the talk by Mark Hudson on 25th April, when Mark described the history of the Hudson family from Tudor times as yeoman farmers in Westmoreland through to the end of WWII when the family ended its involvement with Brabyns Hall.
Saturday 13th April: The Artistic Religious Environment. An afternoon workshop led by Dr Geoff Brammall, Reader at St Martin's, and Anthony Burton, Trustee of St Martin's Heritage Trust, exploring how developments in art and religious practice influenced the design of Churches (including St Martin's Church).
2019: Our programme for the first half of 2019 has now been finalised and can be viewed by clicking the button. As always we will provide further information about the individual events nearer the time.
24 November 2018: Children's workshop-Christmas Tree Decorations. One week before the Church Christmas Tree Festival, a fun afternoon for children of all ages making decorations based on the Art within the Church. Further details shortly.
17 November 2018: Afternoon Study Session led by Anthony Burton entitled The Arts and Craft Movement. This promises to be a very interesting afternoon.
